College student shot and killed in anti-discrimination movement, policeman arrested

Anti-discrimination student movement in Konabari, Gazipur. A police constable has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a college student named Hriday (20). On Friday (September 6) he was arrested in a raid in Parail area of Kishoreganj.
Subir Kumar Saha, Assistant Commissioner of Konabari Zone of Gazipur Metropolitan Police confirmed this information on Saturday (September 7) evening.
On August 5, a college student was shot near the Konabari police station. The heart is killed. The deceased Hriday is the son of Lal Mia of Alamnagar village of Gopalpur in Tangail. Besides studying in class XI in Hemnagar Degree College, he lived in Konabari area and earned his livelihood by driving autorickshaws. The arrested constable's name is Md. Akram Hossain (22), he was working in Gazipur Shilpa Police.
According to police sources, during the anti-discrimination student movement in Konabari area of Konabari road in Gazipur city on August 5. Hriday raised slogans against the previous Awami League government. At that time, seeing the presence of some policemen, Hridyo took a position on the side of the road. At that time some policemen working in Shilpa Police were on duty in Konabari area. At this time, they grabbed Hridiya from the side of the road and slapped him. At one point, police constable Akram got overzealous and shot him from behind, killing Hridyo on the spot. In that incident, the cousin of the deceased. Ibrahim filed a murder case in Konabari police station as a plaintiff. Later, the police conducted a raid and arrested Akram from Parail area of Kishoreganj last Friday night.
Subir Kumar Saha, Assistant Commissioner of Konabari Zone of Gazipur Metropolitan Police, said that Constable Akram's involvement was found in the initial investigation. He was arrested from Kishoreganj in the early hours of Friday morning, today Saturday he was taken to Gazipur Metropolitan Court seeking a 10-day remand. The court fixed a date of hearing on Monday and ordered him to be sent to jail. Others involved in the incident will also be arrested.
