Khulna Md. Kadrul Hasan, an anti-discrimination student activist, has been missing for two days. Last Thursday (September 5), he left his house at Sonarbangla Gali in Sonadanga and did not return. In this incident, his wife Sayeda Khatun filed two GDs in Sonadanga and Khulna Sadar police stations.
Saida Khatun, the wife of the missing Kadrul Hasan, gave this information at a press conference at Khulna Press Club on Saturday (September 7).
In a written statement, she said, my husband Kadrul Hasan is a resident of Sonarbangla Gali, Ward No. 18 under Sonadanga Model Police Station of Khulna metropolis. His permanent address is Biri Azgara under Terkhada police station in Khulna. We husband and wife live in a rented house in Sonarbangla Gali, Sonadanga, Nagar. My husband is a student of Government Haji Mohammad Mohsin College, Khalishpur, Khulna. Besides, he works part-time at Sheikhpara Popular Diagnostic Center in the city. His role as a vanguard of the anti-discrimination student movement was also unique in the recent student mass movement. Especially recently, due to the floods in the south-eastern part of the country, he also worked day and night in the garbage collection of the anti-discrimination student movement in the city.
Saida Khatun also said that on September 5, my husband left the house around 3 pm. When I spoke to him on my mobile around 7 pm that day, he said that I am busy with the relief work of the flood victims. I will return home very soon. Later he did not return home. I called my husband around 11pm and got his number opened once. But the phone does not receive. Since then the number has stopped. I did not find any trace of my husband despite many searches. Since then, on behalf of the family, we have contacted various levels of leaders and some coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement. Searched for him in all possible places. But did not find any. Last September 6, I first made a general diary at Sonadanga Model Police Station of KMP.
Besides, another GD was conducted at KMP's Khulna police station at night on the advice of the police. Because the place of disappearance is Khulna Sadar police station, the police suggested that. But so far no trace of him has been found. In this situation, we all in the family are worried.
He said, I am seeking sincere cooperation from the administration and the current interim government to find one of the members of the family, Kadrul Hasan, a fellow fighter of the anti-discrimination student movement.
