On Friday (October 3), the news of the deaths of former student of the Department of Public Administration and former president of the CU Abriti Mancha Sohan Al Mafi and student of the Department of Banking and Insurance Debapriya Supta has stunned the university community.

The Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (Chhatra Dal)-backed panel has announced an 8-point manifesto for the Central Students' Union (Chaksu) elections of Chittagong University. The manifesto was officially announced by the panel's Vice President (VP) candidate Sajjad Hossain Hridoy at the university's intellectual square at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, October 8. Chhatra Dal Central General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir, Vice President Ziauddin Baset, and other leaders of the central and branch Chhatra Dal were present at the event.
