A gust of 80 kmph is expected in nine regions

On Thursday (October 24), the Bangladesh Meteorological Department forecast for the inland river ports of the country indicated that storms with a speed of 80 km were expected in nine regions of the country by 6 pm. The agency has asked the river ports of these regions to display warning signal number 2.
The Meteorological Office said that by 6 pm, a temporary gusty wind with a speed of 60-80 km per hour from south/south-east may blow over Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong and Cox's Bazar areas. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display naval warning signal number 2.
