BNP Acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has alleged that associates of the ousted government are living luxurious lives abroad after looting funds from various sectors of the country. He claims that even while residing overseas, they continue to attempt to destabilize Bangladesh and harm the nation.
He made these remarks on Wednesday morning (October 14) at an event held in Gazirtek Union, Charbhadrasan Upazila, Faridpur. The event was organized under the initiative of "Amra BNP Poribar" (We are the BNP Family) to provide assistance to destitute party activists and leaders who had fallen victim to persecution during political movements.
Rizvi alleged that the associates of the defeated forces—who are living abroad after plundering the country's wealth—are now engaged in various conspiracies. Their objective is to undermine the country's stability and plunge the government into crisis.
The BNP leader also expressed indignation regarding the insults directed at Nobel Laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus. He stated that disrespecting Dr. Yunus amounts to tarnishing the country's dignity.
Shahidul Islam Babul (MP for Faridpur-4), Chowdhury Nayab Yusuf (MP for Faridpur-3), and local BNP leaders and activists were present at the event.
During the program, cash, house keys, and sewing machines for self-employment were distributed among the destitute activists who had suffered persecution and their families.
However, Rizvi's allegations regarding the looting of funds and the instigation of instability from abroad could not be independently verified.
