The ICC wants to move the Women's Twenty20 World Cup from Bangladesh due to ongoing political unrest after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government. The company was considering India, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates as alternatives. BCCI Secretary Jai Shah has claimed that despite receiving the offer citing the season not being favorable, it was rejected. Chances of rain are also high in Sri Lanka during this time. And only the United Arab Emirates remains.
When the ICC is very concerned about the Women's World Cup, Zimbabwe has expressed its desire to host the World Cup. They said, ICC has two good options. They are Zimbabwe and United Arab Emirates.

Zimbabwe has announced its intention to host the World Cup on cricket website Cricinfo. They consider themselves worthy of hosting mega tournaments. Earlier in 2018 and 2023, Zimbabwe hosted the ODI World Cup qualifiers. Besides, the country jointly organized the 2003 World Cup with South Africa and Kenya.
Zimbabwe will jointly host the 2026 Under-19 World Cup with Namibia. The country will then co-host the ODI World Cup with South Africa and Namibia in 2027.
