Argentina's World Cup winner is now at a new address

Argentina's World Cup-winning forward Julián Alvarez now plays for Atletico Madrid. Everything was fine, now the formalities are over. Alvarez signed for new club.

In a statement, Atletico said, "Argentine forward Julián Alvarez has been agreed with Manchester City. Alvarez has signed a contract with our team for the next six seasons.
Spanish media claim that Atletico will spend 75 million euros for this Argentine forward. There is also another 10 million euros as a potential bonus. Alvarez, 24, joined City from River Plate in January 2022 for £14m.
He has won two Premier League and Champions League titles in these two years. Alvarez made an outstanding contribution to Argentina's World Cup title in December 2022. He was also a member of the 2021 and 2024 Copa America winning team.
Alvarez said on the City Club website, "I am saying goodbye to a great club today. There are a lot of emotions involved here. These two years were two special years of my life. During this time I have matured myself, learned a lot. I tried to improve myself as a player as well as a person.
Alvarez scored 36 goals in 103 appearances for City in all competitions. Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola said last week, 'He was liked by everyone in the team because of his good performances. But I have often told many players that he wants to leave the club to take up new challenges.
In addition to Alvarez, Diego Simeone's Atletico have signed Robin Lee Normand and Alexander Sorloth in this summer's transfer window. Atletico are looking to strengthen their squad to get back into contention with Real Madrid and Barcelona. Atlético finished the league in fourth place last season. Atletico will begin their new mission in La Liga with a match against Villarreal on August 19.
