Shubh Mahalaya held in Tangail

Like the rest of the country, in Tangail today, the goddess part of the Autumn Durgotsav has started with the auspicious Mahalaya.
In the morning, auspicious Mahalaya ceremony was organized at Thanapara Public Temple in Tangail Town. The auspicious Mahalaya ceremony started with Chandi Path organized by Tangail District Branch of Hindu Students Mahazot. Devotees participate in invocation of Goddess Durga. Through music and dance, the artists depicted the story of Mahishasura's torture in heaven, the appearance of Goddess Durga and the killing of Mahishasura through the acquisition of immortality.
