BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir requested the interim government to prepare the polling area as soon as possible. He said, to overcome all the dangers and build a truly free Bangladesh, he will organize elections as soon as possible. Establish a government of the people.
He said these things while visiting the grave of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's younger son Arafat Rahman Koko on the occasion of his 55th birthday on Monday (August 12).
Mirza Fakhrul said, I hope the people will take all measures to prevent their plot from the streets, to be very alert for the threat of counter-revolution.
He said, we want to make it clear to the interim government that the students did not just cooperate in this movement but played a leadership role. Political parties have made sacrifices in the last 15 years. Many activists gave their lives. Our role in this movement was very glorious.
BNP Secretary General claims that we all know that Arafat Rahman Koko was tortured and killed. He had to leave the country due to torture.
Mirza Fakhrul said that Koko was not a politically involved person, he was a sportsman. He revolutionized cricket in a short span of time.
He said, we hope that the new interim government will have the support to move Bangladesh's sports industry forward.
BNP Secretary General said, I pay deep respect to the souls of those who were martyred in the movement of freedom, victory and second independence.
