Shah Rukh Khan receives National Film Award for the first time

Shah Rukh Khan, known as the king of Bollywood for three decades, has been awarded the National Film Award of India for the first time. He jointly won the Best Actor category at the 71st National Film Awards for his superhit film 'Jawan' released in 2023.
The names of the winners of the 2023 National Film Awards were announced at a press conference in New Delhi organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of India on Friday. This is Shah Rukh Khan's first national recognition in his long acting career, who made his Bollywood debut with the film 'Deewana' in 1992.
After the award announcement, there was a flood of joy in Bollywood. Shah Rukh fans flooded King Khan with messages of congratulations on social media.
Shah Rukh Khan has previously starred in numerous popular films including 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', 'Devdas', 'My Name Is Khan', 'Chak De India' and achieved many commercial and critical successes. 2023 was the year of comeback for Shah Rukh. All three of his films - 'Pathan', 'Jawan' and 'Danki' - have earned box office records.
This year, along with Shah Rukh Khan, Vikrant Masio won the Best Actor Award for the film 'Twelve Fails'. This is also his first National Film Award. 'Twelve Fails' was selected as the Best Film. Rani Mukerji won the Best Actress award for the film 'Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway'. In addition, 'Kathal' won the Best Hindi Film award and Sudeepta Sen won the Best Director award for the film 'The Kerala Story'.
Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy shooting for his new film 'King', which is scheduled to be released in 2026. Many are seeing his achievement at the National Film Awards after a long time as 'well-deserved recognition'.
