BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed is returning home from India tomorrow. This BNP leader is scheduled to reach Bangladesh from Delhi at noon on Sunday (11 August).

BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan said BNP standing committee member Salahuddin Ahmed will come to Dhaka from Delhi tomorrow.
Earlier, on August 6, Salahuddin Ahmed collected a travel pass to come to Bangladesh.
BNP leader Salahuddin disappeared from Dhaka on March 10, 2015. On May 11 of that year, the Shillong police filed a case against Salahuddin for trespassing into India. On October 26, 2018, an Indian court acquitted Salahuddin of the illegal entry case. However, Salahuddin's return to the country stopped when the state appealed the court's verdict.

In 1991, Salahuddin Ahmad was the APS of then Prime Minister Khaleda Zia of BNP. Salahuddin was elected Member of Parliament from Cox's Bazar in 2001. He was made Minister of State for Communications during the BNP-Jamaat coalition government. He was joint general secretary of BNP when he was arrested in Meghalaya. BNP made him a member of the party's standing committee while he was in jail in India.
