North City ward councilor arrested while fleeing abroad

Anisur Rahman Naeem, Ward Councilor No. 49 of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and General Secretary of Mahanagar North Swachhasebak League, was arrested while fleeing through Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Immigration police detained him on Wednesday night (August 7).
An airport official confirmed the matter.
He said he was caught while crossing immigration. Many professionals, including political figures, are banned from leaving the airport.
According to sources, Naeem has his own forces for occupation and extortion in the surrounding areas, including the capital's airport, Kawla, Sealdanga and Gawair; They are locally known as 'Naeem Khalifa'.
