7th batch of government freelancing training begins nationwide

The 7th batch of the three-month-long freelancing training course has officially begun to increase employment opportunities by turning the country's educated youth into skilled human resources. State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Aminul Haque inaugurated this training program simultaneously in 64 districts of the country at the initiative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The State Minister said that one of the government's priorities is to develop skilled manpower to meet the needs of the digital economy. In this batch, 4,800 young people of the country will receive training in various demanding subjects including computer applications, digital marketing, graphic design, video editing, basic English, soft skills and freelancing. According to him, this initiative will play an important role in creating self-employment, earning foreign exchange and reducing unemployment.

According to project sources, a target has been set to train a total of 36,000 educated youth from 2024 to 2027 at a cost of about 373 crore 77 lakh taka. Already, 19,200 people have completed the training in six batches. About 60 percent of them are working in various domestic and foreign freelancing marketplaces and so far their combined income is more than 344.9 million taka.

The training of the 7th batch will continue from July 1 to September 30, 2026. A total of 4,800 trainees, 75 from each district, are participating. Certificates will be issued at the end of the training. Along with this, travel allowance, food and necessary training materials are also being provided. The concerned authorities have said that the quality of the training will be ensured through regular supervision.
