Iran has once again indicated its tough stance on the important international trade route, the Bab al-Mandeb Strait. Esmail Qani, commander of the Quds Force of the Iranian military, has warned that if the Israeli operations in Gaza and Lebanon are not stopped, steps like the Hormuz Strait may be taken in this waterway.

The Bab al-Mandeb Strait, located at the junction of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, is a very important route for world trade. About 8.8 million barrels of oil and a large part of the world's maritime trade are transported through this route every day, which has a significant impact on the international energy market.

The Iran-backed Houthi group in Yemen has already gained influence in a part of this strait. They have been accused of using drones and explosive boats to attack ships in the past, raising concerns about security in the region.

According to analysts, any instability in this vital waterway could have a major impact on global trade and energy supplies. However, Djibouti is not considered easy to control the entire strait due to the military presence of international powers in the region.
