According to the government, the death toll in the quota movement has increased to 150

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan has given information about the death of 150 people including students and members of law and order forces in the last few days of violence around the quota reform movement.

The minister disclosed this information at the cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister's office on Monday (July 29). Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting.

Secretary of the Cabinet in the briefing at the secretariat in the afternoon. Mahbub Hossain confirmed this information to reporters.

In response to a question from the journalists, the Cabinet Secretary said that the Home Minister had said that 147 people had been killed till yesterday, today three more have been added, the total will be 150.

The Cabinet Secretary said that a day of national mourning has been announced tomorrow Tuesday in memory of the victims. On this day black badges will be held and prayers will be organized in the mosque. Apart from this, special prayers will be organized in temples-churches-pagodas.
