Death of EB Professor Mueed, first funeral held

Islami University (EB) senior professor of economics and prominent columnist Professor Abdul Mueed passed away.
On Wednesday (September 11) at around 8:30 pm, while staying at his home in Kushtia, chest pain suddenly started. Later when taken to Kushtia Sadar Hospital, the doctor on duty. Belal Ahmed declared him dead. The doctor said that he died due to cardiac arrest.
Meanwhile, on Thursday (September 12) at around 11:30 a.m., his first funeral was held at the university's Battala premises. Financial and administrative professor of the university. Chiddikur Rahman Ashrafi led the funeral prayers. During this time, teachers, students and officials of various departments of the university participated in the funeral.
It is known that his second funeral will be held in Kushtia. Later he will be buried in the family graveyard adjacent to Saddam Bazar in Kushtia.
Note that Abdul Mueed was born on 30 June 1964 in Uttar Matlab Upazila of Chandpur District. He is known as a prominent columnist. Apart from this, he was the President of the Economics Department of EB.
