The number of cases against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is increasing day by day. This includes murder cases. Sheikh Hasina fled to India in the face of student and public agitation on August 5. He is currently staying there.

Foreign Affairs Adviser Mohammad Tauhid Hossain said the government will decide whether India will be called upon to bring Sheikh Hasina back to face justice.
He said this in an interview with Reuters on Thursday (August 15).
The foreign adviser said, “Sheikh Hasina is facing many cases. If the Ministry of Home Affairs and Law and Justice decide, then we have to ask him to be sent back to Bangladesh."

“This will create an embarrassing situation for the Indian government. India is aware of this and I am sure they will look into it."
Reuters contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India after such a statement by the foreign advisor of Bangladesh. But they were not immediately available for comment.

About 300 people died before Sheikh Hasina resigned and left the country. Among which there were many students. At least two murder cases have already been registered against him. Along with Sheikh Hasina, senior leaders of her party have also been accused in the case.

Ataur Rahman, deputy director of the International Court of Justice of Bangladesh, said that a third case has been filed against 10 people including Sheikh Hasina. Allegations of murder, torture and genocide against them will be investigated in this case.

Meanwhile, three ministers of Sheikh Hasina's government have been arrested.
The foreign adviser also told Reuters that the chief adviser was very unhappy with the way statements were coming from India and Sheikh Hasina. And he informed the Indian ambassador about this yesterday.
