A video of cooking peacock meat was posted on social media by a YouTuber. After that video went viral, there was a stir. A complaint has been filed against him under the Wildlife Protection Act. He was also arrested.

This sensational incident happened in the southern Indian state of Telangana. Indian media NDTV reported this information in a report on Sunday (August 11) night.
The accused YouTuber's name is Kodam Prannoy Kumar. He is a resident of Sircilla, Telangana. However, the video was removed from Kumar's YouTube channel after the controversy.
Indian press says that the peacock is the national bird of India. Kumar has recently been accused of posting a video of him cooking and eating the peacock on YouTube. After that, the video went viral very quickly. Soon after, a storm of protest broke out across Telangana.
The forest department also took action after the video came to notice. Forest department officials also visited the place where the accused YouTuber cooked peacock meat. YouTube videos are also verified. Kumar was arrested soon after.
According to the forest department, the accused YouTuber killed a protected animal.
Sircilla Superintendent of Police (SP) Akhil Mahajan said, "A case has been filed against the YouTuber under the relevant section." If anyone else like that YouTuber is involved in such activities, strict action will be taken against them too.
However, the forest department staff took blood samples and some of the cooked meat to test whether the meat cooked by Kumar was peacock or not.
Meanwhile, despite the removal of the video, animal rights activists have demanded strict action against Kumar. Besides, in one of the earlier videos, Kumar also demonstrated cooking wild boar curry, reported NDTV.
