The country is in turmoil over the death of Osman Hadi, and the Indian media is busy spreading misinformation by calling it 'Hindu oppression'!

After the brutal murder of Shaheed Osman Hadi, the spokesperson of the Inquilab Manch, a storm of protests has erupted across Bangladesh. Various political parties, social organizations and ordinary people are taking to the streets demanding justice. It has been alleged that the killer involved in the murder has fled the country to India. At the same time, it is believed that there may be direct or indirect instructions from India and Sheikh Hasina, who is based in India, behind this murder.
Despite such serious allegations and public outrage, many influential media outlets, including the Indian media outlet Z 24 Ghanta, are practically silent on the matter. It has been alleged that the murder of a political spokesperson in Bangladesh, the allegations that the murderer has fled, or the news of protests across the country, have not received any attention in the Indian mainstream media.
Rather, behind the cover of silence, several Indian media outlets, including that media outlet, have started a different campaign targeting Bangladesh. They are publishing news stories one after another under the title of ‘Hindu oppression in Bangladesh’, the language and presentation of which are being described by analysts as purposeful and provocative.
The headlines published in some Indian media outlets—
“A group of barbarians beat him up, tied him to a tree and burned him alive!”,
“Hindu youth brutally murdered in turbulent Bangladesh!”,
“Militant attack on High Commission office, ‘declaration of war’ against India”—
These are seen by the concerned quarters as planned propaganda against Bangladesh.
According to critics, this attempt to portray Bangladesh as a communal state by hiding a major political incident like the murder of martyr Osman Hadi is part of a conspiracy to create tension between the two countries. They also commented that presenting such news without verifying the factual information is against the principles of journalism.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh government has said that an investigation into the murder is underway and those responsible will be brought to justice wherever they are found. At the same time, the countrymen and the international media have been urged not to listen to misleading and false propaganda.
According to political observers, only responsible journalism and truthful reporting can stabilize the situation in this critical time; otherwise, false propaganda and media silence will further intensify the crisis.
