At least five people were killed in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon. Four of them are members of Hezbollah. The attack was carried out on Monday local time. This information was given in a report of the news agency AFP.
Firefights and attacks between Israel and Hezbollah have escalated almost daily since the start of the conflict in Gaza. On October 7, the Palestinian independence organization Hamas launched a sudden attack by entering the border of Israel. After that, the Israeli forces counterattacked in Gaza.
Innocent Palestinians are being killed in various parts of Gaza every day in the name of operation. 35,562 Palestinians have been killed so far in the seven-month-long conflict in Gaza. Besides, another 79 thousand 652 people were injured.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah said its fighters also responded by attacking several Israeli installations.
Hezbollah has been exchanging fire with the Israeli army across Lebanon's southern border, mainly because of the war in Gaza. The armed group says it is firing rockets into Israel to support its ally Hamas and to deter Israel from launching attacks on Lebanon.
Hezbollah is attacking Israeli soldiers in response to Israel's violence against innocent Palestinians in Gaza. Israel is also striking back. As a result, border conflicts are increasing.
A source close to Hezbollah told AFP news agency that at least four of its fighters were killed in the Israeli strike. The attacks were carried out in two separate locations in southern Lebanon.
Earlier on Monday, it was claimed that a member of Hezbollah was killed in an Israeli attack in neighboring Syria. A Hezbollah source confirmed this information.
Hezbollah says a heavy rocket attack was launched on an Israeli army barracks. Attacks have also been announced at other locations in Israel.
