Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced a counter-attack in response to Iran's missile attack. The announcement was made by the Prime Minister of Israel in a speech given at the Kiriya military headquarters in Tel Aviv on Saturday. "Israel has an obligation to retaliate and will do so," Netanyahu said.
He said, "No country in the world will accept such an attack on its cities and citizens of the level that Iran has recently launched a missile attack on Israel." Israel will not accept either.
Netanyahu said, "Israel has the responsibility and right to defend itself and respond to Iran's attacks." Israel will do that.'
Iran fired about 200 missiles at Israel last Tuesday. Tehran said the attack was carried out in revenge for the killings of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and IRGC commander Abbas Nilforoshan. However, Israel has claimed to have destroyed most of the missiles fired by Iran. Tel Aviv admitted that the Iranian attack had caused some damage, including an air base.
