250 defendants have filed a case of cocktail explosion near Jubodal workers' meeting in Boda Upazila of Panchagarh. Soon after the incident, the police arrested two leaders of the League along with the seizure of four fresh cocktails.

Saidul Hasan Hiru (40), General Secretary of Chandanbari Union Awami League of Boda Upazila of the district and Jewel Islam (54), member of Awami League of Boda Municipality, were arrested.

The incident took place on Monday night (November 4) during the Youth Dal's meeting at the Manikpir Benghari Fazil Madrasa ground in Garh Danga area of ​​the upazila.

Benghari Bangram Union BNP office secretary Sohag Hossain filed a case against 200-250 unknown people in Boda police station by mentioning the names of 84 people under Explosives Act. Earlier on receiving information, the police went to the spot and seized four fresh cocktails.

According to the police station, at night, there was a working meeting of Ward No. 4 Youth Dal of Benghari Union. Suddenly, in the darkness of the night, miscreants from outside the madrasa wall threw three cocktails at the staff meeting.

The cocktails hit the tree and fell to the side and exploded. Sohag Hossain (20), office secretary of Benghari Bangram Union BNP, youth worker Jahangir Alam (32) and Babu (35) were injured in the cocktail explosion. Later, the meeting workers rescued them and admitted them to Boda Upazila Health Complex.

Boda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Azim Uddin confirmed the matter and said that when the guests of the meeting informed the matter over the phone at night, they went to the spot and seized four fresh cocktails.
