A fine (five hundred and fifty four) kilograms of polythene has been seized in Panchagarh against banned polythene.
Today, Tuesday, November 5, the Panchagarh Department of Environment, and the district administration, in a joint initiative, conducted a mobile court against the sale of banned polythene in the Panchagarh Bazaar area of Sadar Upazila of Panchagarh district and fined 02 (two) shop owners 12,000/-(twelve thousand) A fine of Rs.554.00 (Five Hundred and Fifty Four) Kilograms of Prohibited Polythene was confiscated. Assistant Commissioner (Land) and learned Executive Magistrate Mohan Minji led the operation of the mobile court and Md. Yusuf Ali, Assistant Director, Panchagarh District Office, Department of Environment, acted as the prosecutor.
