Two worshippers injured in Khulna mosque shooting

Two people were injured in a shooting by terrorists after Fajr prayers at a mosque in Daulatpur area of Khulna city. The incident that occurred early Sunday morning has created concern and excitement in the area.
According to local information, worshippers were staying inside the mosque after prayers. At that time, some armed men entered the mosque and opened fire. Two people named Lokman and Alam were shot.
Eyewitnesses said that Lokman, one of the injured, was reciting the Quran after prayers. Suddenly, the attackers opened fire on him, spreading panic among the worshippers present in the mosque.
Later, locals rescued the injured and admitted them to Khulna Medical College Hospital. According to doctors, Lokman's condition is serious and he has been sent to Dhaka for advanced treatment. The other injured Alam is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started an investigation. Local residents have expressed anger over such attacks on religious places of worship and have demanded the immediate arrest of those involved.
Police said that work is underway to uncover the cause of the incident. It is being investigated whether there is a personal dispute, dominance or any other motive behind the attack. The operation is ongoing to identify those involved and bring them to justice.
