The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said the US has retaliated against Iranian coastal radar facilities in the Strait of Hormuz. The operation was carried out in response to Iranian drone attacks, which have further intensified the ongoing conflict.

According to CENTCOM, Iran sent four drones towards the Strait of Hormuz, which were launched at ships traveling in regional waters. After destroying these drones, Iran launched counterattacks on surveillance and radar facilities located on the islands of Goruk and Qeshm.

The US and Iran are currently in indirect talks aimed at a ceasefire. Efforts are underway to reduce the long-running conflict through a possible interim agreement. However, several key issues, including the nuclear program and regional influence, are still unresolved.

Analysts say that any conflict here could have a major impact on global energy markets, as the Strait of Hormuz is one of the world's most important oil transportation routes.

Meanwhile, former US President Donald Trump has claimed that most of Iran's drone and missile production facilities have been destroyed, but they still have a significant stockpile of missiles.

On the other hand, Iran claims that they still maintain their defense capabilities and have the ability to respond to any aggression.

After this incident, renewed tension has arisen in the Middle East and the international community is closely monitoring the situation.
