3 young Rohingya women were detained in Tetulia on their way to India illegally

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members arrested three Rohingya girls while entering India illegally through the border area of Panchagarh's Tentulia. They were arrested from the border area of Darjipara village of Sadar Union of the upazila around 7 am on Tuesday (September 24).
Three Rohingya girls were detained while crossing the border area in Panchagarh's Tentulia.Panchagarh-18 BGB Battalion confirmed the matter through a press release in the afternoon. The arrested are: Abul Faiz's daughter Maizuma (17), Shafi's daughter Sharmin Akhtar (17) and Abul Kalam's daughter Nurchafa (18).
According to the press release, BGB members raided Darjipara Primary School area with locals at around 7 am inside Border Main Pillar 421 based on secret information. At that time, human trafficker Ismail Hossain, a resident of Ukhia, fled after sensing the presence of BGB members.
At that time, BGB arrested the three Rohingya girls from the scene. After their interrogation, it was confirmed that they are Rohingya citizens and all of them are residents of the refugee camp in Cox's Bazar.
It is also known that the three young Rohingya women fell into the grip of fraud and went to Tentulia. Smuggler Ismail took them to Panchagarh on Monday (September 23) for smuggling to India. Currently, those three Rohingya girls are in the custody of BGB in Tentulia Union Parishad.
In this regard, Tentulia Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Fazle Rabbi said, 'BGB arrested the three Rohingya girls and took them to Sadar Union Parishad. After knowing the matter, we talked to those young women. Confirmed about their family. At the same time we also contacted the refugee camp in Cox's Bazar. We have confirmed that they are residents there.
He further said, 'As far as we have confirmed so far, they have been victims of fraud. Now the upazila administration along with BGB is going on legal process to hand over those three young women to their families.
