The World Cup is set to begin in three North American countries - the United States, Canada and Mexico. As part of the preparations for this huge event, the Mexican government has taken some special steps. It has been decided to close schools and colleges in various areas including the capital to facilitate the movement of visitors and tourists and ensure safety.
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has ordered government employees to work from home. At the same time, it has been announced that all types of educational institutions from pre-primary to university will be temporarily closed. However, no decision has been made yet on whether online classes will be started.
According to the government, a large number of foreign fans and tourists will come to Mexico for the World Cup. Therefore, this step has been taken to reduce traffic congestion on the roads and make the security system more effective. However, health, safety and emergency infrastructure-related departments have been kept out of this instruction.
This year's World Cup is being held as the largest event in history. 1,248 footballers from 48 countries are participating in it. The opening match will be held at Estadio Azteca. With the World Cup looming, the Mexican government wants visitors to the country to be able to enjoy the games in a safe and uninterrupted environment.
