An emotional and complicated family situation has developed around the return of a man to his home in Gangni Upazila of Meherpur after 38 years. The man named Javed Ali recently returned to his home after being missing for a long time.
According to local sources, Javed Ali left home in 1988 due to family disagreements. At that time, he left behind his wife Russia Khatun and a five-year-old child. After that, it is known that he worked as a laborer in different areas for a long time.
When he suddenly reached old age and returned to his village, there were mixed reactions in the family. Although his relatives welcomed him, it is known that his wife Russia Khatun is still unable to accept the matter normally.
The wife alleged that she and her child had gone through a difficult time for 38 years and that Javed Ali did not take any responsibility for the family at that time. On the other hand, Javed Ali said that in the past, he had also started another family, where he has a daughter.
The matter is currently at the family discussion stage. Locals believe that it is still uncertain whether the family can live together again after overcoming the long-standing resentment and distance.
