Bangladesh finished the first innings with a lead of 117 runs after passing Pakistan's big collection by relying on the bat of Mushfiqur Rahim, despite being out near the fourth double century.

On the second day of the match, Pakistan announced the first innings by scoring 448 runs for 6 wickets on the back of Mohammad Rizwan's unbeaten 171 and Saud Shakeel's 141 runs. In response, Bangladesh collected 565 runs in the first innings.

Apart from Mushfiqur, four other batsmen have contributed to this huge collection. Among them, opener Sadman Islam scored 93 runs. Besides, Mehdi Hasan Miraj scored 77, Liton Das scored 56 and Muminul Haque scored 50 runs.

Earlier, Bangladesh ended the third day's play with 92 runs for the loss of 5 wickets but turned around on the fourth day. Mushfiqur Rahim started moving forward with Liton Das. Then Nasim Shah sent back Liton for 332 runs, Bangladesh broke the 114 run pair.

Then Mushfiqur built the wall in front of the wicket with Miraz in the seventh wicket. Mushfiqur and Miraj added a record 196 runs for the seventh wicket of the Tigers on the scoreboard from this pair. In between, Miraj completed his half century and Mushfiq crossed his hundred and fifty and continued towards the double century.

However, after Mushfiqur returned with a catch behind the wicket after the team scored 528 runs, the next batsmen could not make the innings bigger. Before returning, Mushfiq played an innings of 191 runs, which was studded with 22 fours and a six.

After he returned to the pavilion, Hasan Mahmud returned for zero runs. After that, when Miraz returned with a personal 77 runs, Shariful Islam tried to increase the lead a little more. However, Bangladesh's first innings ended with 565 runs when Shariful got out with two fours and 22 sixes in 14 balls.

Naseem Shah took maximum three wickets for Pakistan from the first innings. Shaheen Afridi, Khurram Shahzad and Mohammad Ali took two wickets each. Siam Ayyub took the remaining wicket.

After the end of the Tigers' first innings, there were about 20 overs left to play on the fourth day. Pakistan has already started batting in the second innings.

They lost one wicket for 10 runs at the end of 6 overs. In 2.2 overs, Shariful's ball was caught by Liton Das in the gloves and Siam Ayyub returned to Sajghar after scoring only 1 run.
