The expectations of the people of the country after the July 2024 mass uprising have not been fulfilled, said NCP Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari.

He made this allegation while addressing a road meeting organized in the Battali area of Phulbari Municipality, Dinajpur on Saturday (July 18) afternoon.

Nasiruddin Patwari said that during the July Movement, many people including Abu Sayeed gave their lives in the hope of change and a new future for the country. But he claimed that obstacles have been created in the way of implementing the aspirations of that movement.

He alleged that after the movement, there has been disappointment among the people regarding the implementation of the promises made about reforms, changes in the country and the trial of various incidents.

The NCP leader said that although there were expectations of trials of various murders, state reforms and the creation of a new political environment, people are not seeing that change in the current situation.

He further said that NCP wants to do politics by going to the people. He said that they will work with the goal of building a new Bangladesh outside the politics of corruption, extortion, occupation and personal interests.

Nasiruddin Patwari said that their goal is to create employment for the youth, ensure the safety of women, maintain religious harmony, resolve border problems, reform the law enforcement agencies and develop the country's economy.

NCP member secretary Akhtar Hossain, northern region chief organizer Sarjis Alam, Kurigram-2 constituency MP and party joint convener Dr. Atiq Mujahid, Dr. Abdul Ahad and local leaders of the party were present at the road meeting.
