Keeping in mind the ongoing flood situation in various districts of the country and the suffering of the affected people, the National Citizen Party (NCP) has temporarily postponed its scheduled July march in the southern region.

The party has informed that all the marches scheduled in the southern region from July 15 to 18 will be postponed. This decision has been taken due to the overall humanitarian situation in the flood-affected areas.

The postponed programs include the previously scheduled marches in various upazilas of Faridpur, Madaripur, Bhola, Barisal, Barguna and Patuakhali. Party sources said that once the situation normalizes, these programs will be organized according to the new schedule and the revised schedule will be published later.

The NCP said that it plans to resume the southern region programs from July 19. The marches are scheduled to be held in Rajapur of Jhalakati and Nesarabad of Pirojpur on that day.

On the other hand, there has been no change in the party's northern programme. The July padyatra will be held in the respective districts as per the previously announced schedule.

NCP leaders said that priority is being given to standing by the people affected during natural disasters. Political programmes will be resumed after the situation improves.
