Political heat has started to rise in Bogra-6 (Sadar) constituency surrounding the upcoming 13th National Parliament election. On one hand, Jamaat's nominated MP candidate Principal Maulana Abidur Rahman Sohel is active in the field, on the other hand, the party leaders and activists have raised nomination forms in favor of BNP's acting chairman Tarique Rahman in that constituency.
On Sunday (December 21), at around 12:30 noon, District BNP President Rezaul Karim Badsha formally collected the nomination papers in favor of Tarique Rahman from Bogra Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Taufiqur Rahman. The nomination forms were raised as part of BNP's party preparations ahead of the upcoming National Parliament election.
BNP Chairperson's Advisor Advocate Mahbubur Rahman, Central Executive Committee Member GM Siraj, VP Saiful Islam, Joynal Abedin Chan, District BNP Acting General Secretary Mosharraf Hossain, and a large number of BNP leaders and activists from district and upazila levels and their constituent organizations were present during the nomination form collection.
According to political analysts, if Tarique Rahman gets the nomination from BNP against Jamaat candidate Principal Maulana Abidur Rahman Sohel in Bogra-6 constituency, the election fight will become more intense. Meanwhile, election discussions are intensifying across the area due to the activities of the two parties.
BNP leaders and activists said that Bogra-6 constituency is an important and traditional constituency for BNP. The nomination form has been collected in this constituency in favor of Tarique Rahman to further accelerate the movement to restore people's voting rights and establish democracy under the leadership of the party's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
At that time, BNP leaders expressed optimism that if fair and impartial elections are held, the people will overwhelmingly support BNP under the leadership of Tarique Rahman and make it victorious.
