Zubaida Rahman Addresses UN Women Leaders' Platform

Dr. Zubaida Rahman, wife of Tarique Rahman, addressed the UN Women Leaders' Platform in New York. She participated in the event, held alongside the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, on Wednesday (September 23). The platform was organized to facilitate international dialogue on women's leadership.
Khalilur Rahman, President of the UN General Assembly and Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, also spoke at the event. Calling for women to be placed at the heart of decision-making, he stated, "When women lead, the world moves forward."
The ‘UNGA Platform of Women Leaders’ is a joint initiative of the Office of the President of the UN General Assembly and UN Women. Its objective is to create opportunities for women leaders to discuss issues of international importance and interconnected challenges.
