State Minister Spends Night at Secretariat to Prevent Question Paper Leaks; 300,000 Candidates to Take Exam Today

To prevent a recurrence of question paper leaks during the Department of Youth Development’s recruitment examinations, the State Minister for Youth and Sports, Md. Aminul Haque, spent the night at the Secretariat. He remained there on Thursday night (October 15) to oversee the entire process—from the preparation of the question papers to their dispatch to the examination centers.
Previously, an examination for the position of Assistant Upazila Youth Development Officer was postponed at the last minute on October 10 due to a question paper leak. This caused significant hardship for thousands of job seekers who had traveled to Dhaka from various parts of the country.
According to the revised schedule, the examination is set to take place on Friday (October 16) from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Approximately 319,000 candidates have applied for 242 vacancies (classified under the 11th grade).
Ministry sources indicate that 19 executive magistrates have been appointed to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination. Plans are in place to deliver the question papers to the centers under strict police escort one hour before the start of the exam.
To ensure the security of the question papers, the State Minister, along with the Ministry Secretary, Additional Secretaries, Joint Secretaries, the Director General of the Department of Youth Development, and other relevant officials, stayed at the Secretariat.
The authorities aim to ensure a transparent and fair recruitment process by preventing any repeat of the previous question paper leaks.
