Quota Movement: Talks Discussed-Criticized

Protracted agitation on quota system started on July 5. Although the movement was non-violent in the beginning, it turned into a conflict from July 15. First, Chhatra League and party supporters came to resist the movement. Later the police, BGB and army were brought down. So far 212 people have been confirmed killed in this incident.
Prominent people of the country believe that this movement would have ended peacefully if it had been discussed from the beginning. But the situation has become more complicated due to various comments of policy makers without direct discussion. There is a lot of criticism about the comments made by different people. Some also said to sit in the discussion. This report is based on the comments of various people during the entire movement.
