This time in Kurigram former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, former bridge minister Obaidul Quader and Ulipur upazila livestock officer Dr. Md. A defamation case has been filed against Rezwanul Haque. On Sunday (September 1), the case was filed in the Kurigram Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court (Ulipur Amli Court) by a member of the executive committee of Ulipur Upazila BNP in the district and upazila representative of daily Jaya Din newspaper. Manjurul Quader Mominul prosecuted the case. The court took cognizance of the case and directed the investigation to the officer-in-charge (OC) of Ulipur police station.

The plaintiff claimed in the application of the case, Ulipur Upazila Livestock Officer (ULO) Dr. Md. Rezwanul Haque has been working as an agent of Awami League under the direct or indirect instructions of Sheikh Hasina and Obaidul Quader as a political activist as a government employee. On May 15, 2024, the plaintiff Md. Manjurul Quader Mominul was present. Because he (Mominul) is a member of BNP, Dr. ULO. Md. Rezwanul Haque abused him and the nationalist party BNP with obscene language. If you want to know the reason for the abuse, Dr. ULO. Rezwanul Haque abused BNP founder and former president Ziaur Rahman and Khaleda Zia in indecent language. He even made objectionable comments about the birth of BNP as a party. In the event of such abuse in front of the persons present in the meeting, the plaintiff and his party leaders Ziaur Rahman and Khaleda Zia have suffered considerable loss of dignity in the society which cannot be compensated even by 10 crores in Bangladeshi currency. In this situation, the plaintiff applied for the issuance of a warrant against the defendants after accepting the case.
Plaintiff's lawyer Nazrul Islam said, "The court accepted the case and directed the officer in charge (OC) of Ulipur police station to investigate and submit a report."
