A legal notice has been sent to remove accused cricketer Shakib Al Hasan from the national team. A legal notice has been sent to Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) authorities. At the same time, the notice asked to bring him back to the country for the purpose of investigating the murder case.
Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Sajib Mahmud Alam sent the notice on Saturday (August 24).
This lawyer said that since a criminal case has been registered against Shakib Al Hasan, he cannot be in the national cricket team as per ICC rules. He needs immediate removal from the cricket team.
A murder case has been filed against cricketer Shakib Al Hasan at DMP's Adabar police station on August 22 as the order to kill Garment worker Rubel. Shakib Al Hasan has been named accused in the 28th statement of the case. Besides, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Obaidul Quader and 156 others have been accused in the case. Another 400-500 unidentified people have been accused in the case.
In the statement of the case, the plaintiff complained that on August 5, Rubel took part in a protest march on the ring road of Adabar. At that time, with the direct and indirect instruction, encouragement, assistance, cooperation and direct help of the accused, someone fired at the procession. Rubel was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen and died on August 7.
