US President Donald Trump has admitted to losing a fighter jet for the first time in the ongoing conflict with Iran. However, he claimed that the incident will not affect the ongoing reconciliation efforts.

In a brief interview with US media NBC News from the Cross Hall of the White House, Trump said that the path to talks should not be closed even if the war is going on. In his words, "This is a war, we are in the middle of a war - but the talks will continue."

The incident of a US F-15 fighter jet being shot down in southwestern Iran has already been confirmed. One of the two people on board the plane was rescued, but the other is still missing. Trump did not want to give any details about his whereabouts, calling the matter "sensitive".

On the other hand, Iran is also conducting an intensive search to find the missing US pilot. Various channels in the country have also announced a reward if the pilot can be captured alive.

Meanwhile, another US A-10 fighter jet has been reported to have crashed in the area near the Strait of Hormuz. Although Washington has officially acknowledged the loss of only one aircraft so far.

The rescued US crew is reportedly undergoing treatment. However, the uncertainty surrounding the missing pilot and ongoing military tensions are further complicating the situation.

In the meantime, despite various countries taking steps to mediate, the path to negotiations is not getting easier. Especially with the stalled progress on a possible meeting in Pakistan, a diplomatic solution remains uncertain.
