After much speculation, the Gaza ceasefire agreement is finally going to be 'final'. This is what the mediating countries have said. The United States, Qatar and Egypt are in continuous talks to finalize the ceasefire in Gaza. US President Joe Biden and his administration are regularly monitoring this matter. The news agency Reuters reported that the mediating countries have promised to announce a new decision on the ceasefire within the next few hours.

The relevant parties held a long eight-hour meeting in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on the ceasefire in Gaza and the release of Israeli hostages. The meeting was attended by officials from Hamas and Israel, as well as the United States, Qatar and Egypt. They said that this time the talks were much more productive than the previous ones. However, a senior Hamas official told Reuters on Tuesday that they had not yet given Israel any response. Because they have not yet received a plan for the withdrawal of troops from Gaza from Israel.

Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari told a news conference that both sides had presented a written statement, which is now in the final stages of negotiations. US President Joe Biden is monitoring the talks, and he said a ceasefire agreement is now in the final stages. He and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi spoke on Tuesday about the progress of the talks. Both leaders pledged to maintain close coordination, both directly and through their teams. The White House said in a statement that the two leaders stressed the need to implement the agreement after the phone call.

Hamas has expressed optimism about the ceasefire, and Israel has also expressed the same. Tel Aviv says the talks have reached a significant stage, but some details still need to be worked out. On the other hand, White House National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan said he hopes to reach an agreement on the hostages in Gaza this week.
