Two teams of the Ministry of Commerce conduct market surveillance to keep prices of essential commodities stable and control market conditions. At this time, the supervisory team fined some companies 12 thousand 500 taka.

On Wednesday (October 9) morning, 2 team market surveillance activities were conducted at Mohammadpur Agricultural Market Raw Market and Fakirapool Raw Market.

Dhaka's Mohammadpur Agricultural Market supervision team was led by Jannatul Ferdous, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce. At this time, rice, pulses, eggs, vegetables and chicken markets are monitored among daily necessities. The team members scrutinize the purchase and sale receipts of the goods along with hanging the price list. For not hanging the price list properly, not writing it properly, not updating and saving the price list, besides warning various organizations, fined 12 thousand 500 taka. Also, after the demolition of the agricultural market, the market committee was instructed to remove the shops in view of the complaints of various people when the shops were set up in the parking lot.

The buying and selling prices of eggs, onions, green chillies, chicken and rice and other daily necessities are checked in Fakirapool raw market of the capital. Market monitoring shows that the prices of eggs and onions have decreased slightly among them. He insisted on hanging the updated price list of chicken, rice, potato, onion and other products. The campaign was led by Amit Deb Nath, Senior Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce. Officials of various departments under the Ministry of Commerce were present in the campaign.
