3 thousand metric tons of hilsa is going to India during Durga Puja

It is known from an order issued by the Ministry of Commerce on Saturday (September 21). The government has approved the export of 3 thousand metric tons of hilsa to India on the occasion of upcoming Durga Puja. Export applicants are advised to contact the relevant department of the Ministry of Commerce.
According to the order signed by Sultana Akhtar, the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, the export of 3 thousand metric tons of hilsa fish has been approved subject to the fulfillment of the prescribed conditions in view of the application of various exporters on the occasion of the upcoming Durga Puja.
It has also been said that those who want to export hilsa have been asked to apply to the Ministry of Commerce by 12 noon on September 24. Applications will not be accepted after the mentioned date. Those who have already applied need not apply again.
Earlier, the interim government had decided not to export hilsa to India this year to increase supply in the country.
