Anti-independence and anti-national forces wreaked havoc across the country

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said, "Independence and anti-national forces have carried out sabotage in the whole country." He told the reporters on Thursday afternoon after visiting the party office as well as various public and private buildings that were damaged due to the attack and fire of the saboteurs in Bogra.
Calling the students to go back to their desks, the Home Minister said, "The government has accepted the demands of the students." Even if the 5 percent quota for freedom fighters is not filled, it will be filled on the basis of merit.
He participated in a discussion meeting with administrative officers and public representatives at Bogra DC office on Thursday afternoon regarding the recent activities of the saboteurs. In the meeting, 14-party coordinator Member of Parliament Rezaul Karim Tansen and District Awami League President Member of Parliament Mojibur Rahman Majnu alleged that anti-independence forces have sabotaged Bogra like other areas of the country.
The public representatives present in the meeting also demanded the speedy trial of the saboteurs as well as the enactment of new laws.
A case has been filed against unidentified persons naming at least 350 members of BNP Jamaat in connection with the attack and arson of miscreants in Bogra. More than 200 people have been arrested on charges of vandalizing railway stations, police stations and Sadar Bhumi offices.
