6 companies fined for selling eggs at excessive prices

On Sunday (October 6), Deputy Director of National Consumer Directorate Chittagong Divisional Office, Mohammad Faiz Ullah conducted the operation. At that time 6 companies were fined Tk 48 thousand for selling eggs at abnormal prices and not having price list in Riazuddin market of Chittagong city.
He was accompanied by Assistant Director Nasreen Akhtar, Rana Dev Nath and Md. Anishur Rahman.
Deputy Director Mohammad Faiz Ullah said that monitoring activities are conducted to stabilize the price of daily necessities including eggs, chicken, various types of vegetables, onion, garlic and ginger in Riazuddin market. Matin's egg shop was fined 20,000 taka, Abul Bashar Saudagar's egg shop was fined 10,000 taka, and Salma Enterprise was fined 8,000 taka for not having a price list and selling eggs at abnormal prices.
Apart from this, Garibe Newaz chicken shop was fined 3000 taka, Shah Amanat Poultry Sales Center 5000 taka and Lokman pepper wholesale shop was fined 2000 taka for not having price list.
