Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested 12 Bangladeshi nationals at Roumari border for illegal entry. They were arrested from the Char Boalmari border of Shaulmari Union of the upazila around 5 am on Wednesday.

The arrested are Ashraful Alam (26) son of Yakub Ali of Tapurchar Bazar area of ​​Bandber Union of Roumari Upazila, Tofazzal Hossain (29) son of Abdul Halim of Char Jeetar area of ​​Ishwarganj Upazila of Mymensingh, Nabi Hossain (26) son of Osman Ali of Narikeli area of ​​Phulpur Upazila of the same district. Furkan Ali (31) son of Akkel Ali of Shabar area of ​​Singher upazila, Hazrat Ali (36) son of Ramzan Ali of Katli area, Shafiqul Islam (25) son of Tofazzal Hossain of Char Goadanga area, Waliullah (25) son of Ibrahim Khalil of Sakuai Bazar area of ​​Haluaghat upazila, Valuka Obaidi Hassan (22) son of Ashraf Pathan of Mohammadpur area of ​​upazila, Arif Hossain (36) son of Muktar Hossain of Sunilpara area of ​​Siddhirganj upazila, Manik Mia (29) son of Ismail Islam of Pathalia Mor area of ​​Jamalpur district headquarters, Nurul Amin of Asmandir Char area of ​​Pazduna upazila of Narsingdi. Mizanur Rahman (23) and Monir Hossain (38) son of Rahmat Illah of Sundarganj Upazila of Gaibandha.

Naik Subedar Ismail of Gayatapara BOP camp of BGB's Jamalpur 35 battalion confirmed the matter and said that 12 Bangladeshis went to India through various borders to look for work as laborers through brokers. They illegally entered Bangladesh from International Border 1058 Pillar of Char Boalmari border of Shaulmari Union of Upazila around 5 am on Wednesday. At that time they were arrested by BGB members patrolling Gayatapara BOP camp. In this incident, the arrested persons have been handed over to Roumari police station by BGB.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Roumari police station Mamunur Rashid said that the BGB brought the arrested 12 Bangladeshi youths to the police station. However, the case is under process in this incident.
