Fire breaks out at plastic factory in Islambagh, Old Dhaka

A fire broke out at a plastic factory in Islambagh area of Old Dhaka. Eleven units of the Fire Service are working to control the fire.
The fire broke out at around 1:30 pm on Wednesday (December 17) in Chairmanghat area of Islambagh. Fire Service units reached the spot at 1:50 pm on receiving the information and started extinguishing the fire.
Duty Officer of Fire Service Headquarters Rafi Al Faruk confirmed the incident and said that a fire broke out at a plastic factory in Chairmanghat area of Islambagh. A total of 11 units are working to bring the situation under control.
He also said that three more units have been sent to the spot from Siddiq Bazar to help control the fire.
The cause of the fire is not known yet. At the same time, the Fire Service said that no casualties have been reported.
The duty officer said that three more units are going to the spot from Siddiq Bazar. So far, no news has been received about the cause of the fire and casualties.
