Teacher's Day was celebrated at Madra School and College in Madaripur

National Teacher's Day was celebrated at Madra School and College of Madaripur Sadar Upazila with the slogan "The transformation of the education system starts with the hands of teachers". On the occasion of the day, a colorful rally was taken out from Madra School and College at 10:30 am on Saturday. The rally starts from the school grounds and ends at the school after walking through various streets of Madra Bazar. School teachers, teachers, employees, students and parents also participated in the rally.
After the rally, a discussion meeting was held in the meeting room of the school. Madra School and College Assistant Teacher Babul Akhtar moderated the meeting and Madra School and College Principal Kazi Obaidur Rahman was present as the chief guest. Senior Religious Assistant Education Md. Alamgir Hossain, Assistant Teacher Balaichandra Bairagi spoke at this time. Assistant teacher Md. Kamal Hossain Molla, assistant teacher Md. Firoz Howlader, assistant teacher Kaya Rani Das, assistant teacher Zainab Akhtar and college branch lecturer Lemon Roy, lecturer Md. Saiful Islam, lecturer Md. Tajammul Islam and others.
Speakers at the event said that a separate salary structure should be made for teachers. Incentives should be provided to recognize good work. In order for teachers to be able to teach in the class room without interruption, they should be ensured that they are not subjected to torture and harassment. Adequate training and skill development should be done effectively to adapt to new technologies. Teachers are now divided into many streams. To restore the dignity of teachers, we must first reform ourselves. If the teachers are united, their strength and dignity will increase. Teachers are the last refuge of children. If we do the right duty from everyone's position, then one day there will definitely be a change.
Incidentally, every year since 1995, World Teachers' Day is celebrated worldwide on October 5. Although World Teachers' Day is celebrated on this day, it is being celebrated on October 5 for the second time this year in Bangladesh. This day is observed to commemorate the contribution of teachers. According to UNESCO, World Teachers' Day is celebrated to recognize the outstanding contribution of teachers to education and development. Around 100 countries around the world celebrate this day.
Principal of Madra School and College Kazi Obaidur Rahman said that the role of teachers is the most to advance the country. The teachers are working tirelessly to make the students possess knowledge and moral character.
The day is being celebrated with importance this year to remember the contribution of teachers.
