Garment worker friend slaughtered on suspicion of extramarital affair with wife in Sreepur

Salon employee Khalil has been accused of slaughtering his garment worker friend Abu Saeed (23) in Sreepur of Gazipur on suspicion of extramarital affairs with his wife. On Wednesday (October 2) at 11:30 p.m., the police recovered the body of the garment worker from inside the salon adjacent to the local Meghna Group Executive Green Textile in Mauna Union (Madhyapara) area of Sripur Upazila.
The deceased Abu Saeed is the son of Rafiqul Islam of Alampur (Fulpur) village of Durgapur upazila of Netrakona. He used to work in the house of Alamin Sarkar Babul in Madhyapara area of Mauna Union from the rent of the local executive Green Textile.
The police could not reveal the identity of the accused salon employee Napit Khalil. He is on the run since the incident. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sreepur police station Zainal Abedin Mondal confirmed these facts.
Sripur Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Regan Mollah said that the victim Abu Saeed and the salon employee Napit Khalil were friends from before. Saeed often came to Khalil's house to eat and drink as they were friends. At one point Saeed had an extramarital affair with Khalil's wife. When Khalil realized the matter, he called his friend Saeed to a two-storey saloon owned by local Rayhan on Wednesday night and slaughtered him inside the saloon. Barber Khalil, the salon employee, is absconding since the incident. The police recovered the body of the deceased from the spot and sent it to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital morgue for post-mortem on Thursday morning.
