Former US President Donald Trump has made explosive comments about Russian President Vladimir Putin. He said that Putin deceived four US presidents in the past, including Bill Clinton, George Bush, Barack Obama and Joe Biden, but could not deceive him.

According to a report by US media TRT World, Trump made these comments in a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the White House on Monday local time. He discussed the war in Ukraine, Putin's role and US foreign policy in detail in the meeting.

Trump said, "This war is not mine, it is Biden's war. I am trying to get America out of this war. This is not a Republican or Trump's war. This war should not have happened, nor should it have happened."

Expressing his displeasure with Putin on this day, Trump said, “Putin has deceived everyone—Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden—everyone. But he couldn’t do it to me. I see his true colors.”

At the meeting, Trump gave Russia a 50-day ultimatum. He warned, “If Russia doesn’t stop the war in Ukraine in the next 50 days, we will impose major new economic sanctions.”

Expressing his disappointment with Putin, Trump also said, “I thought there would be a deal two months ago. But it didn’t.”

At the meeting, Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced that NATO would now buy billions of dollars in weapons from the United States. This includes the ‘Patriot’ missile defense system, which will be delivered to Ukraine.

Rutte said, “This deal is very big. The United States will not have to spend extra money on this alone, European countries are also helping.” Under this agreement, Germany, Canada, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom have also agreed to provide weapons to Ukraine.

Incidentally, after taking office for a second term as president, Trump tried to improve relations with Putin. During the election campaign, he said, “I will end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours.” But within a few days, Putin began launching a record number of missile and drone attacks on Ukraine. In response, Ukraine also increased its attacks on the Russian mainland.

Regarding this, Trump said, “I go home, I tell Melania — ‘I had a good talk with Putin today’. She says — ‘Really? A bomb just fell in a city.’” He added, “I’m not saying Putin is a murderer, but he is a tough person.”
