A youth was allegedly hacked to death in Tangail's Kalihati

Miscreants hacked a young man to death in Tangail's Kalihati. The incident took place on Friday night in Balla Post Office Para area of Kalihati Upazila. The police recovered the body on Saturday morning and sent it for post-mortem. The deceased youth Yachin (24) is the son of Deen Elahi of Balla Singair area of Kalihati upazila of the district.
Police and locals said that around 10-12 youths, including the deceased Yachin, used to consume drugs in an abandoned room at Bishu's house in Balla Post Office Para area. Locals also saw their presence on Friday night. On Saturday morning, Bishu Mia's wife found the young man's bloody body. At that time, the police reached the spot and reported the situation and sent the body to the Tangail General Hospital morgue for post-mortem. There are marks of sharp weapons in different parts of the deceased's body.
In this regard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kalihati Police Station Abul Kalam Bhuiyan said that the deceased's arms and legs were broken, and there were marks of sharp weapons on the body. A team of Kalihati police station and CID visited the spot. The deceased youth along with several others used to consume drugs at that place. He also said that the police are working to arrest those involved in the incident.
