‘No’ Wins in Four Constituencies in Referendum Held Alongside 13th National Election

A referendum was held on the same day as the 13th National Parliamentary Election. According to the results received so far, the “No” vote has secured victory in four constituencies: Bandarban, Rangamati, Khagrachhari, and Chattogram-13.

The information was obtained on Friday (February 13) from the Election Commission’s result sheets. However, the number may increase as more results are finalized.

According to the Election Commission:

  • In Bandarban, 71,417 votes were cast in favor of “Yes,” while 90,156 votes were cast for “No.” The total number of registered voters in the constituency is 315,422.
  • In Chattogram-13, 80,580 votes were cast for “Yes,” compared to 124,629 votes for “No.” The total number of registered voters is 395,246.
  • In Rangamati, “Yes” received 71,699 votes, while “No” secured 179,805 votes. The total voter count is 509,267.
  • In Khagrachhari, 144,355 votes were cast in favor of “Yes,” and 155,942 votes were cast for “No.” The total number of registered voters is 554,113.

The Election Commission has indicated that the overall results are still being compiled.
